teams? Seems to me that at least 4 would cease to exist since 8 more teams will be in the playoff, unless the losers of the 1st round games get to go to a bowl. Who would want to after losing?

Besides, there weren't enough teams to fill the bowl slots this year.

Say what you want but the Pop Tarts bowl was entertaining. If more bowls replicated the entertainment value of that bowl it'd be fine.

####, I'm interested in the Pop Tarts Bowl for next year regardless of who is playing because it was so darn hilarious to see the highlights 😂

42 bowl games this year, 84 out of 135 teams. No wonder it's watered down. It probably should be cut in half.

It's an extra chance to enjoy football. What's Funny is the teams that don't make it .

That being said, college football at the d-1 level is an entertainment business solely operates to make money... For the schools, the athletic depts , the ncaa and the TV networks. The more opportunities to showcase that, the more money.

Thepurity of academics competing in school sponsored sports has little to do with it.
