Why isn't the NCAA more interested in going after UNC?

It would be like robbing from themselves. See the little tag on the photo below? That's a cash cow for the NCAA. UNC is a national brand (Hoops) and brings in lots of $$$ for the NCAA fatcats. Why would they want to do anything to jeopardize that?

This has been about basketball the entire time. Of course UNC was willing to sacrifice football for hoops. Hoops is where the $$$ flows.

The NCAA may eventually be dragged in kicking and screaming (ie USC/Reggie Bush), but everything will be done to protect the luster of UNC Hoops.

reprimand.

Probably the only people interested in seeing UNC burned at the stake is Dook, NCSU, and Clemson fans.

I've used the same term with So Cal and reggie. I think these guys will need to forced by public outcry to do something about UNC as they already softpedaled things before

Because the NCAA would then have to return all of the gifts

they received from UNC in exchange for agreeing to bury their heads in the sand and ignoring what amounts to blatent and deliberate academic fraud by UNC.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

They thought Swofford's Public Reprimand was too harsh....

Swofford knows this...and now its just a game of daring each other to call somebody's bluff. We prob won't ever hear anything major come from this.

cheating. The NCAA has allowed cheating to be too profitable. The results of malfeasance just outweigh what little punishment that they hand out.
