Per David Hood, they contacted him Thursday, the conversation was brief was all that was said about it.

you can see before and after Dabo was contacted. only Dabo knows if an offer was made.

Dan Lanning was the #1 option per national sources and Vegas

Dabo Swinney was the #1 option per a subset of TNET

Lanning was #1 out of the gate. When he withdrew his name, Deboer and Dabo became a close first/second with Dabo first on many books early yesterday.

based on your question it would appear you have never been recruited for a job. The first step is a call to determine interest. If there is no interest then the process is complete. If there is interest, the next step would be interviews/vetting. If all goes well then an offer is made.


Perhaps what you really want to know if Alabama had serious interest in Dabo or if their call was a courtesy to Dabo or his agent. For that question, no one on this board knows the answer.
