Our best wr is a 3 star freshman... Our running backs are pretty good but have no.speed. Cade is getting better but is the 5th best qb in the acc at best behind maye, Travis, Riley and VD from miami.... We are poorly coached...
Our defense is extremely talented and a great group but our DC is incompetent...Dabo is getting tired of him, Dabo has never public called out a single coach like he did goodwin at halftime and Dabo got in his face multiple times on the sideline...
All In all...we just aren't that good... And we have lost our last 2 games against p5 teams in death valley... We are 3-5 in our last 8 games against p5 teams
Is the program dead? Of course not... But right now we are a below average team and if you can't see that you are either to biased to see reality or you just have no knowledge of football...
I'll support us even in bad years, but I'm not going to ignore reality

Mostly fair assessment. And the true fans will still be supporting the team with you!

I am reading posts that have fans who are saying that they are proud of how Clemson played.
I don't understand how any fan can be proud of their team losing 5 of the last 8 games against P5 competition.
There are no moral victories for a proud program.

The fans have taken on the attitude of the programs leader, Dabo thar built this program into a power house over the last 13 years was the Dabo that would go out and give that rant about the real usc being in California and Say his team played like crap when they played like crap ...
The new Dabo will say he's proud of a offense that scored 7 points against duke...
The fans have grown soft with the leader

It is pretty amazing how folks are in denial about Five losses since November even the ones who think they are higher functioning primates. At what point does this coaching staff stop getting a pass and need to start winning games against power competition again?

2 of those losses came with DJU at QB

ND and SC. ND was better prepared, but SC should not have won. Even still, DJU is gone. Stop talking apples and oranges. This is a new season.
The other 3 are with a true freshman QB, and the play against good teams has been predictably inconsistent. Sorry but passes given to a very competent staff. Supposed fans are basically ignorant and need to shut up.
Is that straight forward enough for you to understand?

The 2 teams we played with a pulse this season - we lost.
You play to win, neither of those coaches is getting paid $10MM a year

You speak of dju...well the staff is mostly the same outside of Riley and he has made little to no difference. We are losing, I don't care about almost beating the #4 team, that means absolutely nothing we lost. The signs of a bad team is when you are happy about close losses.

It goes to show you that a change at QB was needed at QB long before it finally happened. That transition takes time unless you have a Trevor in the stables. Even Stoud to Watson took some time to achieve greatness. We wasted almost a whole season hoping Big Stinko would come around. Remember, Stinko kept the games close enough for us not to be able to get CK some valuable playing time. At the same time, Stinko had ample time to develop when we were blowing teams out. Now we are paying the price.

You can still be proud of the effort while disappointed with the result at the same time. What good does it do to try and make a bunch of 18-22 yos feel even worse than they already do? Is that really going to help them be more focused and motivated to play next week?

This is ignorant. I'm a lower functioning primate because I'm disappointed in a team that in the last 7 games their only wins are unc, a gas station and Florida Atlantic while in that time we have losses to south Carolina, a back up qb and Duke by 3 touchdowns?
Y'all can keep living in a fairytale where after every loss you think we winning the rest of our games but I'm not...
First it was, oh don't worry we going 11-1 and now it's 10 and 2....then it will be 9-3...then we will hear.
But just wait until next year Dabo has a plan

You must be crazy...we just outplayed the #4 team in the country...our QB played as well as the Heisman darkhorse...we shut down their running game totally...we have a kicking issue and lost a critical fumble and our running backs are great...the only metric that got us is the final score and one critical turnover where Mafah missed his black and Cade held the ball too long! That's it and Dabo can fix all of those...or defense was as stellar as a nothing Venables ever put up...two backfield injuries hurt late in the game...Anyone who is totally unhappy with that game is not really a football fan and certainly not TIGER fan!

I don't understand how we can go to overtime with the 4th ranked team in the nation if we are not any good.

Is the staff and coaching decisions. Dabo lost that game yesterday. The players I watched yesterday have no excuse not being a 10 win team and I feel like every roster since 2011 has been 10 win teams. This roster is not great, not a NC team. But no reason we shouldn’t be a 10 win team.
I cannot for the life of me understand why Dabo is handcuffing Garret Riley when it mattered and calling runs on 3rd and 9 to setup a FG or a run up the middle with the clock winding down, and the wasted time outs.

Why is that so important to you?
It seems to me like you’re worried about what fans of other teams think of you. That’s kind of sad. Are you worried they’re going to call you “delusional” or something?
Personally…I don’t give a crap what anyone thinks of me. I’m going to believe in my team.
