They have different PODS spread out with in different regions to keep teams closer to their location. 8 teams in but 4 teams each in two different regions like Charlotte.

Yea it threw me off. Sister is in Charlotte today and Saturday and thought I would find all those games in the South regional but that was not the case.

There was the East, Mid-East, Mid-West and West. And teams came from those regions. Expansion changed everything. Location of the school means nothing.
