Why did Amick transfer because of 250k?

It just doesn’t make any sense to me. It is a rumor, but it likely happened.
Maybe because it’s Florida, it helps him because they are a top program like Clemson, but actually better currently.
But 250k isn’t an insane amount. Plus, wouldn’t that be against the rules if Florida straight up offered him that?
So many questions with only one answer of what happened with Florida offering him. It’s very peculiar and suspicious.
Amick is one thing, but we abso-freakin-lutely can NOT lose Cannarella, who I heard rumors about.

I know right, everyone talking about how going after kids still enrolled is against the rules. Well who enforces these rules apparently no one bc it’s a lawless free for all.

If you are reverting to claim that I’m just using bias towards Clemson, then you’ve got no more points to make.
If one program tempts a player with money directly, it’s not within the boundaries.
The NCAA is corrupt and falling apart. They will diminish regardless, so they’re just allowing these small things in college baseball because there’s bigger things to worry about in college sports.

Rules don't matter when it comes to being violated against Clemson, only if Clemson is the school violating those rules!!!

$250k's a lot more than nothing. He probably didn't have a full scholarship at Clemson. Maybe he was wanting to transfer anyway for other reasons and just took the best offer he could get.

I'm trying to figure out where it's stated that he's getting that and going to fla? Or is it still just an inside info type of thing.
Another thread says he wanted to play 3rd. Confusing and we'll probably never know unless he says it. They can't give him a full ride anyway. One thing is definite. We certainly don't want anyone on the team that doesn't want to be at Clemson.

I am going to paraphrase what a longtime, very logical person who has a lot more inside information than most of us do told me today. Don’t flame me about what I am about to say, I just being the messenger.
Grandfather Amick was a wonderful person and as avid a Clemson fan as possible. However, due to the wealth he accumulated, each generation below his has become more and more spoiled. Now, I hope I correctly remember this next thing I was told. Amick was a DH and the only time he got to play was when Caden was pitching. He did not like that but, at the same time, he is/was considered a horrible defensive player. Check out his stats when he played for Monte.
Bottom line is his end of the season performance has gone to his head. Until he can learn to play on both sides of the ball he has no chance to make it to the big time.
Again. Just repeating what someone told me.

Sadly there is no comparison between our record and Florida's so I can see why Amick would consider the Gators. Since 2010 when we only made Omaha once, Florida won the National Championship once, runner up once and made 5 it to Omaha 5 more times. You have to honestly say we are not a baseball school but play good competitive baseball.

My thought is he left for more than one reason. Since we can’t control others, the class move would be wish him well. Freaking out on a message board over speculation is not a good look
