Why are QBs constantly bailed out with interference

penalties on under thrown balls. Mason has the weakest arm I have seen so far this year. Every pass attempt in the end zone was 5 to 10 yards short. Why do referees bail them out when the ball is not catch able even if there was not a defender out there. It is absolutely irresponsible to make that call. For us or against us. I am telling my QB if you see tight coverage throw it to the inside short and get the penalty. Something has to change I saw this called numerous times this weekend. This is a no call in NFL as it should be. You can't reward bad offensive play or penalize good defensive plays by throwing the Flag.The only reason to do that is you are told to do that or you are paid to throw that flag.

The pass interference is by far the biggest tool SEC Referees use to help their schools when they are playing OOC. If you watch them do an SEC/SEC game they will be be very very consistent. However, in an OOC game, every closely contested pass attempt will be called interference on the OOC opponent, but rarely called on the SEC team unless it is blatant. The last USC game in Clemson was the perfect example. USC was consistently getting PI calls on every contested pass attempt, though replays were showing no PI, and even the SEC announcers were commenting there was nothing there to call.
