Who will be the breakout freshman of 2017?

Last year it was Dexter Lawrence. The year before, Mitch Hyatt. Who will be the breakout freshman of this season. My vote is for Tee Higgins.

Cain and Overton. My guess at breakout freshman would be Cooper on offense and Kelly on defense.

We are so stacked I don't see any of the freshman being that big of factors unless it isne of those two or maybe Hunter Johnson. The team is just so stacked.

dunno...overton didn't really play much last year. nor did feaster. Not sure if higgins is going to get much playing time at a stacked WR position. We aren't in the same situation we were several years ago when sammy broke out

We had a really veteran WR corp returning last year though

and there was really no doubt at all about who was starting nor really even about who the 2nd group were. This year a couple of spots are up for grabs. We can assume who the starters are going to be, but there are going to opportunities for reps behind those guys. I think Higgins has a much better chance to see the field in 2017 than Powell and Overton had in 2016.

It is great that there is no clear answer but LOTS of options to consider and discuss. There have been quite a few years in our history where we knew the obvious answer and that was good. This is GREAT!

Probably more opportunities at that receiver position and he's lightning quick - change of pace and size with the speed to bust some big gains.
