Clearly, we are going to have to clean house on most coaches. Who goes and who stays?
No way Dabo should be fired but who should?

I’ll be shocked if there are major changes.
Dabo will say that our defense is championship caliber and keep Goodwin.
He will say that Riley is brilliant and say that the issue was untimely turnovers and not play calling. He will also point to the games we have outgained our opponents and lost.
I also don’t think he would fire a first year offensive coordinator two years in a row.

For a change, I’m going to say I think you are right about what will happen. But I will add that I think that is exactly what should happen.

Not scapegoats, clearly they are not very good coaches , you know this and so does everyone else, those 2 position groups are horrendous. Spiller is a close 3rd, missed on the recruiting trails 2 years in a row, and our backs haven’t improved one bit.That being said, I still love my Tigers, but very disappointed in this staff.

So he'll fire Spiller and replace him with Jamie Harper. Fire Austin and replace him with Cory Lambert. Fire Grisham and replace him with Aaron Kelly. Looks like a much better staff in Dabo eyes. Championship caliber staff right there

New coaches won't make a lot of difference if recruiting, especially on offense doesn't pick up.

Kind of a double edged sword there. Recruiting won’t pick up until we have something that actually resembles an offense.

Reed/Eason are doing their jobs bc our CB/DT play has been very good. Nate Wiggins has turned into a monster but Reed is an excellent coach. However I would take the Special Teams tag from him and go hire an actual ST coordinator that knows what he’s doing.
Riley we don’t know yet bc he’s not being given a chance to do anything. I’m sorry but that’s what I see and that’s what I believe and nobody is going to change my mind. I personally think he’ll be out of here as soon as he gets a chance bc he was the hottest assistant in the country and chose to come here. His reputation is taking a huge hit this year as well as far as HC prospects.
The 7 that should be gone…. Not a SINGLE one of those 7 guys would be hired and given their respective coaching positions at…
Georgia
Alabama
Ohio St
Michigan
Texas
Oregon
I promise you not a single one of those guys would get a job at any of those places. That’s the level we were playing on for 6 straight years. We were on top of all those teams. We were on the mountain top of college football and we were feared. Teams literally hated to play us bc we were big strong and physical with speed sideline to sideline.
Now teams schedule us for homecoming and beat us with backup QBs. My how the mighty have fallen.
Look at that list and tell me it truly inspires confidence in you that this staff can compete on the national championship level. Not a single person here can truly believe that.
