Where's The Round-Ball Pride

Nov 14, 2015, 11:54 AM

Now that we are reaching the top of the heap in football, why can't we do the same in b-ball ?
I love Tiger basketball, but it just seems that we don't have, or don't want to have the same success and pride that we have in our football program.

I would like it if we could at least finish in the middle to the upper echelon of the pack in the ACC on a semi-regular basis.
And yes, I'm going to ask that dreaded question: What if the football team finished every single year in the lower to middle class of the ACC ? That just wouldn't be tolerated, the head coach and the entire staff would be gone.

I know a lot of other schools do the same thing, whether it's B-Ball first, or football first, and no particular interest in the other sport, as far as emphasis on being the best.

Don't get me wrong, I've always been more of a Tiger Football fan, than a B-Ball fan, but I just want to see the Tiger B-Ball team step up the recruiting efforts and be, "ALL IN", as well.

I think we all want it, but I don't know how to go about it really. Especially in this day and age of every player wanting to transfer in college basketball. If coach K came to Clemson he would have to win without top ranked recruits because Clemson just doesn't have the draw.

However, I like Brad brownell and like where things are going. I would like to see where we sit in two years with a new arena and marquise reed coming in.

"Tigers Soar Past Eagles For 1st Win"

There's definitely an article.

The crowd last night was solid. We just need that to continue over in Greenville and people actually put forth an effort to make it to games. It makes a huge difference. Most people don't do anything on a Sunday afternoon, so hopefully we have a decent crowd tomorrow at 2pm.

Perhaps the 3 point win over Lenoir Rhyne should have been

It is still Football season, especially for #1 team in USA

I guess if all you have is a girl's basketball team, you start getting excited about that.

We can multi-task!

I honestly have no complaints about the crowd last night. It was solid.

And the LR game was an "exhibition" for a reason. Things were much different last night. Hopefully it stays that way.
