Is there a valid reason to have to state that Neff is the "new" AD? He is the boss, enough said.

Working on it" um ok. And instead of full stadium aesthetic improvement, we're getting a gymnastics team. Smh.

Why are we building a new lacrosse stadium?

Riggs Field is perfect for lacrosse. It wouldn’t conflict with soccer at all. Makes zero sense to me.

If you’re late to games and not tailgating oh well! And don’t ruin the sledding hill in lot 5.

before COVID hit, was told by a staffer on a visit they were gonna add on to the entrance & make it a public display for all the trophies. Was supposed to be part of the DV project

Thanks for the article. Not a lot of specifics from the new AD. Good questions. Responses were pretty much, "everything is awesome."
Couldn't tell exactly the plan is for the volleyball facility in Jervey Gym. I hope we don't make the same mistake with "rennovation" like we did with Littlejohn Coliseum vs. starting fresh with a new facility.
Also, no mention of new lights and sound system in Death Valley. That's supposed to be ready for the 2022 football season. Hope that doesn't mean it is being delayed. I am pretty sure the old sound system was part of the old video board structure, so I assume that will have to happen this year. Not so sure about new lights.

Yes one of the athletic dept. officials was talking about being able to notice work soon on the new LED lighting on the radio broadcast during halftime of the spring game last Saturday. Also believe I heard them say the "Clemson Welcomes You To Death Valley" signage on the upper deck facade is going to light up too.

Thank you. I so hope that it is true the welcome to Death Valley will light up. I think that would look PAWSOME!
LSU added a "Welcome to Death Valley" signage that lights up. It looks great but ticks me off to no end those dirty copy cats stole our stadium nickname and claim they had it first.

Thanks David.
Was your interview confined to facilities and program advancements? Did you get any other questions in on other topics?

I hope there's a part 2. Because this was nothing more than what I could read in iptay updates or updates from 2 months ago here.
He seems like he has one on for gymnastics. Must have some big donors that have daughters who want gymnastics. Or is there going to be men's gymnastics too. I know the Olympic girls are rock stars and I get into it every 4 years.... But I'm not a huge fan of any sport that's decided by judges.

I know there have been several gymnastic olympians from Georgia. I’m sure it’s a disadvantage they can’t offer and feel like they are losing potential boosters and revenue plus the exposure of one of the students is a Olympic gymnast. Like you said the girls team are rockstars every games.

What’s with the aesthetics with Lot 5? Why not use $$ for the sports that need it. I agree with Judge Keller they can use the soccer field for lacrosse makes perfect sense.

They don’t want to share their facilities and field

They just won a NC I’m sure that was thought of and the soccer program told them to shove it up their a$$. The different sports programs are competitive against each other and don’t like people intruding on what they feel is theirs.
