Man. You must not understand that UConn has beat teams on an average of over 27 points per game in the tournament?! I guess you forgot it’s the same team that dominated the tournament last year. I guess if we forget all that, they aren’t very good. One loss since January.

I get wanting to be confident. Underestimate UConn at your own peril. They are on pace to hold the second best offense to around 50 points. We gave up much more to third best offense. I know that’s apples and oranges. It is a measuring metric. Also see the size of the average player on UConns team. Their center is 4” taller than our PF playing center. Their power forwards are so versatile they’re listed as G/F. All of those guys can handle the ball (except their center) like a true point guard. They also are bigger at every position on the floor. Granted size don’t always win game. But, those lengthy F/G’s play like smaller players. They also all shoot the three extremely well.

I want us to win it all as much as anyone. I’ve been lobbying for more $ to be poured into men’s basketball. I believe we can be as successful as we want. Marquette is proof of that. They don’t have a fraction of the resources we do overall yet they are perennial tournament teams that win it all occasionally.

I really hope and pray we can beat Bama to get a chance against UConn. Regardless of the outcome it should bolster recruiting HS seniors and great portal plug and play players. I’d love to see some one and done talent revolving through Clemson! I’m praying for a Natty. Let’s go do this!
