When was the last time we took over an opposing stadium?

Just rewatched the 2006 Wake Forest game and the fan support on the road was unreal. Clemson used to be regarded as a great traveling fan base so what gives recently?

Wallace Wade , Bobby Dodd and Wake Forest (insert sponsor name) here. We practically own those stadiums every other year. Byrd stadium will be missed , because it was our house more often than not. Last time we went to Blacksburg it was all Tiger Rag after halftime. For the better part of our opponents we usually turn it into ClemsonVille since Dabo has come to town. USuC has our number lately but the roach has more Tiger wins in it between the two.

I was at a game we played against NC State at Carter-Finley in Raleigh years ago at which the Clemson fans made so much noise that the State QB had to call time out because his players could not hear his signal calling. I don't remember ever seeing that done anywhere else by fans from a visiting team.

Well, there's one stadium I'd like to see Clemson fans

make a statement this year (and, yes, I know it'll be tough,) and that's Doak at FSU.
As in a great Tiger victory with Clemson fans pouring onto the field for a pay-back celebration. In fact I think there should be a prearrangement between the schools for FSU to allow this to occur, should we win.

I remember taking Wake Forest over in 2001 and Duke in 2002. Same with GT in 2003. Of course the best was USuC in 2003 when we won 63-17. I would say this past year we took over the dump in Syracuse.

Hope tell 'me coot boy doesn't see this. He will call me a coot and doubt if the boy has ever been to many away games.

although being a man of few words, has spawned one of the most popular phrases on TNet, so we have to give him credit. And you can rest in comfort knowing that many folks have been called a Coot...even the likes of young Misters GWP and Bob, so you may (or may not) be in good company, depending on your viewpoint.
We've made our mark in many venues over the 50 years of my fortuitous association with Clemson with that great OB victory in January 1982, being the best. I hope to see it again...soon, very soon.
