Their mother and I love them enough to give them cool things at Christmas, and worked hard enough and made sacrifices so that we could buy them these things. It wasn't some magic man putting them under the tree. No, sir.

wouldn't the parents want the kids to know that they provided the gifts? Did this just become a way to keep kids from expecting really expensive things from their parents all the time?

have you never seen a 3/4/5/6 year old on christmas eve? It is pretty awesome. You can still get them gifts from you but have some from santa. I don't even believe in God or Christmas but I would never take the magic christmas man away.
