Sue's: I'm sorry we don't sell 26 wings

Me: I'd like 6 wings, fried, honey bbq, add to that 20 wings, fried, honey bbq

Sue's: Ok, your order will be ready in about 30 mins

Me: Thanks

I never knew what a chili dog was until I went to Clemson

Aug 16, 2021, 8:33 AM

growing up in small town SC, I thought every hot dog came with chili (and mustard and onions).

So I get her.

yeah that makes sense

I was like saying, can I get your hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions with chili, mustard, and onions?

I swear the latest one has 1. hot dog, 2. chili bun, which makes kinda sense if I knew what came on the hot dog but here is an older one

"hot dog with weiner"?!?

That's nothing. I ordered wings on Friday,

Aug 16, 2021, 8:45 AM

and they brought out breaded wings, when it didn't say breaded ANYWHERE on the menu.

Is there a jury in the world that would convict me for burning that place to the ground?

Aug 16, 2021, 8:56 AM

It pisssses me off. What's up with all this modern 5/10 wing increment crap, or worse, a "pound or half-pound" of wings.

DOZEN! D-O-Z-E-N.

I refuse to order wings when sold by weight...

I'm confident my stance will change the direction of the industry.

Aug 16, 2021, 9:01 AM [ in reply to When did a dozen wings stop being the gold standard? ]

6 for $4.29
12 for $8.39
20 for $13.99
30 for $20.99

had $0.10 wing night on Tuesdays? We'd pile about 6 people in my buddy's 87 Jetta and eat those scrawny wings like kings.

Yep! and cheap beers too...

Aug 16, 2021, 10:19 AM

maybe $0.75 long-necks or something?

There were a lot of questionable driving/sobriety decisions made due to those cheap wings that I'm not proud of in retrospect.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly! Man, I hated waiting tables at T-Bones on

Aug 16, 2021, 10:24 AM

quarter wing night. Can't imagine serving people for an hour and a half on .10 night and getting 15% of a $5 tab.

I also remember they had the bad singer/guitar player who had the small stage set up and every other track on a song was recorded. It was like karaoke with a guitar. Johnny something was his name.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have no memory of music there...

which is no indication of it is was present or not.

I just remember leaving for there at ~4:30 to get a table and coming back at ~9pm sheet-faced and going to karaoke at TD's...'cause that's where all the wimmens were on Tuesday nights.

I'm pretty sure my school week was M-T and little bit of stuff the rest of the week.

called at TD's during the summers? You may have gradgeeated by then. It was ridiculous, think appetizers and/or or 6 wings were $.99, pitchers were $1.99??? I really can't remember, but I remember getting an order of mozz sticks, a dozen wings, and a couple pitchers of beer for next to nothing. It was insane.

There was this guy we hung out with from Rhode Island.

Aug 16, 2021, 9:52 AM

He'd get high and make claims like "I could eat 5 large pizzas right now"

We'd call him on it, offer to buy the pizza if he could finish it all. He'd make it through 6 slices and then we'd get a free pizza night.

This continued with claims of 100 wings at TDs. I got 56.5, he got to 42 and puked in the urinal.

The decisions of 19-year-olds seldom make sense.
