Seems like I can remember us scoring over 80 points one yr against Wake Forest, and the 63-17 coot game was a scoreboard buster too.

I've read a good story about how worn out the Tiger was that day after all of the pushups. He had to lay down in the shade between scores towards the end. lol

Yes. The Tiger was worn out. At one point the cheerleaders were grabbing the back of the Tiger suit to help him out. I believe the WF mascot even did some push-ups for The Tiger.

Trivia info. I just read that Tiger Zach Mills started the push-up tradition in 1978. That guy was the best!

Additionally, I'm pretty sure that a TD in 1901 was only 5 points. I know when we beat the coots 51-0 in 1900, it was only worth 5 points.

And biggest margin of victory and probably top 3 most points scored was Heisman's last year when we beat the bees 73-0. Then I believe they hired him away from us.

FYI Heisman's last year was 1903. Ga Tech hired him for $2500/yr. I also have a football program from that year against North Carolina A&M now NC State. Game was played in Columbia as the Clemson v Carolina game was cancelled because of the riot at the 1902 game. No, I was not there.

the 2016 game against SC State may have been the biggest mismatch of talent between 2 teams to ever face off in Memorial Stadium. I know they played the whole 2nd half with a running clock and I’m pretty sure Clemson would have put up 100 that day if Dabo didn’t empty the bench in the 2nd qtr
