Whatever happened to UNCheat’s womens

basketball team? They used to be a top five team annually. Duke’s has not been as good since their coach left app. 5 years ago but they are still respectable. Would appreciate serious replies only.

UNC threw the women's basketball team under the bus as the "only" that was cheating. They took the sword had to vacate wins.

Unlike Clemson until renovation of LJC, Women’s basketball in the ACC has risen in overall competition from just one or two top tier teams like UNCheat to several quality programs. The additions of UL and ND also made our league even better.

Coaching changes and other off court issues also indirectly had an impact.

Hopefully Coach Butler can steadily improve our program to compete and regain the status we had under Coach Davis.

team had major exodus of qualify players a few years ago.

Coach had health issues and took some time away from the team

and the cloud of the NCAA trouble hurt recruiting which contributed to a big downturn the last 2-3 of season

'quality' players left...

and the last 2-3 seasons have seen a downturn

will be interesting to see if the coach, who won her 1,000th game this past year, can turn things around

I think that the players revolted because they were tired of going to the Swahili courses and only getting A’s!
