I understand the argument of a 'tune-up' game and keeping money in state for one of the FCS schools. However, I'd much rather play another mid-level FBS school than a FCS game. Middle Tennessee, Troy, UAB, etc. aren't exciting to see on the schedule either, but I'd much rather play two of those schools than an SC State, Furman, etc.

I think its a great idea. One of the few FCS teams that will really help the bottom line football budget with the fans they bring.

As much as the pollsters have bashed the ACC recently, I don't think it would be a good idea to put FCS schools on the schedule in the future. The Big Ten is moving to that as well. At the end of the day, it's just not worth what it does to your strength of schedule and national perception. I am not saying I agree with this whole concept, but that's just the way things are now, and if schools want to make sure they stay in the top tier, they can't play Tennessee Tech and App State.

those lower level schools. Keep the money that they get in state instead of out of state. I would love to play better schools but if that is not an option, keep the money in SC

and a major part of the equation is SOS then I am pretty sure it is not good business for Clemson to play small potatoes games with in-state or nearby FCS programs. We need to beef up our schedule because big-time wins against BCS big-time teams helps our case in the end.
