What was football team hotel at Louisville in 2015?

Jan 31, 2017, 7:54 PM

Anyone remember where the football team stayed in Louisville in 2015? I heard that it was a nice & fun hotel. We are planning a road trip to Louisville for the game. Any input is appreciated.

Sorry can't help ya with the team hotel in 2015. I was sent to Louisville for work a few months ago and the only hotel with availability at last minute was, The Galt House.

Overall, I would recommend because it was nice enough and the hotel is MASSIVE. It has a cool bourbon and cigar bar in it. The location was perfect. Walkable to the downtown area where they have live concerts and all the bars. Bunch of places to eat, nothing high end but a nice selection of pretty much everything you could want. Also had nice views of a big River that flows through.

Def check out the Jim Beam store on main. Alot of their select bourbons, only available there, cant get them anywhere else in the world. Pretty cool. They have a tasting room, luckily when we went, they had some hotties working it. So we flirted with them a bit and got proper drunk for free.

Louisville is an interesting place I must say, fun for a week or so but not a place I would want to call home by any means.

If want an upscale, classic hotel then The Brown Hotel is great also....it has a lot of history.

I'd stay down at the Galt House too. A lot going on and very convient to bars/restaurants. I think the Louisville Slugger muesem is also close.

There is one upscale dining option....Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in the basement/street side of Galt House. It is a high end steakhouse but very very good. Well worth the money if you like that sort of thing.
