For those on this board who are, understandably, wanting FSU to lose 60-0 I have good news for you. 3 guys who were practicing all week, two DT and a LB, all starters - working through injuries - are not playing.
At the beginning of the week the hope was that while the offense would struggle there were enough quality guys on defense who could keep the game close. Well, as of pre-game warmups, 7 of the 11 starters on defense at the ACCCG are not playing.
And, yes, this is one of the drawbacks of using the portal. Most of these guys would be playing if the opponent were Michigan in the Rose Bowl, but see no reason to play in a "meaningless" game in Miami.
For those of you who are, for whatever reason, lamenting the state of college football through this transition of NIL, portal, opt outs and conference realignment, you can hope that Kirby sees the situation and has no desire to embarrass FSU or Mike Norvell and will call the dogs off early.
But, it sure looks like whatever slim chance FSU had before, Slim has left the building.

Brutal Bret. We’ve only played one game in my lifetime where I felt like we had no chance. That was against VT with Vick and they should’ve been in a BCS bowl that year.
Sadly, for an fsu fan this has to be one of those games. Free agency in college sucks. Some would say live by/die by. Maybe try drinking heavily.

Whatever the issues with FSU not fielding a complete or good team, they aren't Kirby's concern or problems. I hope the Dqwgs are fully focused and give them the TCU treatment.

Can’t be much older or just your typical uga fan complaining because your team couldn’t beat Bama and now feel like pounding your chest against a depleted FSU team. I hope fsu keeps it close.

Most would expect a comment like that from dawg. They have about as much respect as a criminal. Would love for FSU to pull a major upset and listen to the dawg fans blame the referees, the cheerleaders, the concession operators, and the mascot.

While I'm not a Noles fan and do not like their mercenary way of fielding a team, it pales in comparison to the loathing I have for the biggest cheaters in college football, the University of Georgia nut-lickers. Kirby, the athletic department and their sorry-a$$ fans will/would do anything to win a game. If all their players guilty of sexual misconduct were not allowed to play, they would have less than 49 scholarship players on the field & sideline.
