What the ACC is doing.....

......comes from years of horrible leadership including university presidents. Swoffie the main culprit but not the only. Continue being the little brother. This is what happens when your move is to bring in Syracuse, Louisville and Pitt. The fact Swofford was able to retire comfortably is a crime. He's no better than the politicians getting rich off the stock market. Need to quit letting corrupt criminals lead.

Where is he now

It would be very interesting to interview him and ask if he thinks he did the right thing looking back. I'm willing to bet the farm, he would admit no culpability and point to the fact that the conference is still together. I saw him a couple of years ago on Ocean Isle and should look for him the next time I am down there.

I can tell you exactly what he would say: The purpose of the GOR was to keep the conference together and not have any schools leaving on their own. In that regard it has worked better than anyone could have imagined and I should get 10% of all TV revenue in perpetuity. Please use my good side when casting the bronze bust of me for the Hall of Fame.

So he made sure all of the passengers on the Titanic had no lifeboats to leave the ship... and he wants a bust for it.

But he let an outsider ND FB that needed to get in or lose a fortune, he let them out for free, and the outsider left with a huge gain bc he allowed ND to get away laughing all the way to the bank with a pocket full of cash!!!
He should have told ND that they had a choice, join the ACC with everything, or they would vote all their programs out during the COVID season, and that would have about ruined ND with their finances bc all of their sports programs would have been setting at home during the entire time of the covid year...

ship pretty well since 2013) why he signed the GOR if it wasn't in Clemson's interest? Were he and the board incorrect in their assessment of options? Was he not prepared to make decisions and see options and just shirked responsibility? Or maybe they determined it WAS in Clemson's best interest. In all honesty, Swofford is a good punching bag but the decisions Clemson makes is on Clemson.

Sorry I meant to TD the post bc Clemson didn't let ND cash in on the ACC, Swofford did that all by himself. And if he would have forced ND hand during covid, we probably would have gotten to renegotiate the G O R deal with ND in the ACC with their FB. And Swofford allowed them to play in the ACC FB championship game when they actually wasn't a full member with their FB program, Swofford is a dirty S O B, and I bet that the ND bag man paid Swofford a huge retirement fund!!!

(in reality, not fantasy land) as alternatives to VT, Miami (coming off a national title), BC, Syracuse, Pitt and Louisville? Also, the deal with ND was put together to benefit everyone in early 2010's, despite what people say it's been great for Clemson to have them on the schedule so much.

I don't know what you have read or heard, but Shitface Swofford is the #1 ####### that has the ACC in the situation that it is in this day.
During the COVID season when some conferences were playing like 10 or 11 game season schedules and restricting teams from playing their top rivalry schools if they were in a different conference. That left private/simi private schools like Notre Dame without a FB schedule bc conference heads wasn't allowing out of conference scheduling.
Notre Dame enter the ACC with all their sports programs with the exception of their FB and hockey programs bc they could make more money with the NBC network with their FB and hockey than they could in the ACC, and that left them dead in the water bc they refused to enter the ACC with their FB and hockey programs. But at the same time the ACC wanted ND to fully join the ACC, and when they were caught without a FB schedule, and that was the best bargaining chip the ACC had to kind of force ND to fully join the ACC, and John Swfford let them get away by allowing them to fully join the ACC for just the COVID season so they could have a FB schedule that season. The ACC could have said no dice without completely joining the ACC full time under the same contract as everyone else in the ACC, and Swofford failed miserably by not locking ND in, or letting them go down the road without a schedule for any of the program during the covid season, and he let them get free by scheduling them with a FB schedule, and they were allowed to play for the ACC championship game against us that season. IMO, Shitface John Swofford let ND go free in a deal that would have open the door to renegotiate the GOR with ESECPN if ND would have joined full time with their FB in the ACC, but Swofford let them get away when the ACC had them in the middle of the lake without a paddle!!!!

I'm surprised that word made it through the filter! I'll have to keep that in mind for another time.
