There writers basically said Dabo is on the wrong side of his tenure, won’t use the Portal and that he just wouldn’t be a fit at Alabama.

They think Dabo is well past his peak and on the decline towards the end of his career and his unwillingness to budge on NIL / Portal is why they don’t want him. Reading this from many of their on3 and 247 insiders.

1. Schools use the NIL structure to attract recruits to the program. Coaches do not use NIL because they're restricted from doing so. Clemson uses NIL which includes football players for the utilization of a player's NAME IMAGE and LIKENESS. It's now the law and any violation of that could lead to legal penalties.

2. Dabo has not used the portal but is not opposed to using the portal to add depth or replace an injured player at a specific position.

3. Clemson will be back in the National Championship discussion in 2024. The South Carolina Gamecocks will not be back in the discussion even if there was a 32-team playoff in College Football.

Just read the college football environment.

It’s common sense why Dabo will not head coach at Bama. Even moreso in this “era” of college football.
