On one of those fourth quarter possessions at the end, what does Clemson lose from putting Cade in? I completely understand that it is a poor situation for an inexperienced QB, but at that point why not let him sling it? DJ was simply not good at the end of the game, and everyone in the stadium knew that DJ wasn’t about to lead a heroic comeback drive. And for his confidence, I’d guess that has already been driven into the ground due to the mismanagement of the QB situation this year.
