What are the chances that the music of today

Will be played in regular rotation 40, 50, or 60 years from now like the music from the 60's-90"s? I would argue that it is near zero. Somebody prove me wrong with a brilliant argument, because I'm not seeing it.

40+ years from now the people that like today's music will be our age complaining about how today's music sucks. It'll be played.

I see where you are coming from, and in many respects, I am exhibiting many Get off My Lawn traits. But, with regard to today's music, I don't see it having longevity. You can see it when these kids discover the music I'm talking about for the first time, they are going crazy over it. I just think it is much better and stands the test of time better. I could be wrong.

AI will rule the world that far into the future. It will decide the music you like. Kinda scary to think about actually.

Just like my Mother still likes to listen to big bank music of the 1940's and I still like listening to music from 60's - 90's the kids of today will listen to what they grew up on and will be listening to today's music in 30 years. I think it is human nature.

Slim to none, for pop music.

with few exceptions like the novelty songs that turn out to be big hits at sporting events and such. Things like Who Let the Dogs Out and crap like that.

I think Greta van Fleet's music will last through the anals of rock music. But pop - not much. It's all too trendy and flash in the pan. Beyonce will still be played on R&B stations, but I don't know if she's put anything new out lately. Don't keep up with them.
