What am I missing re FSU?

Clemson is 6-0. FSU is 4-2. Clemson is 2-0 against ranked teams. FSU is 2-0. Clemson is the #4 team in the country. FSU is an “ also receiving votes” team - 1 spot ahead of the chickens. Yet - there’s high anxiety and angst. I don’t see it. I feel an #### kicking ahead for the Noles. It should not be close. Clemson by 17.

I've got us by 24 only because of where our defense is. If we play first half like we did against BC then I've got us by 7.

This year BC is not a good team… and that’s putting it kindly. With the exception of the Wake game, Clemson so far has been a team that has played only 1-2 quarters hitting on all cylinders on offense; that includes against our cupcakes opponents. The defense can point to injuries as an excuse for that. The offense can’t. The time is quickly approaching where DJU, the OL, and the receivers are going to have to perform for four quarters. And that REGARDLESS of the playcalling (which at times ain’t been great). We have improved over last year, but DJ and the OL still have a LONG way to go if we want to be a winning CFP team again. Every season it seems like one team makes it to the playoff who doesn’t really belong there… I do NOT want us to be that team again.
The BC coach was butt-hurt because we scored a garbage time TD to bring the point total to 31. Where has he been the last 6-7 years, in the St. Mary’s 1A high school league??? If he had brought that team in to play Clemson 2-3 years ago the score would have been 63-3 by the middle of the third quarter!! That guy ain’t gonna make it.

Flying is correct.
However, I would put less on the players and more on the playcalling at times....particularly second down. Streeter even mentioned this today ("we've got to do a better job of right now"). Don't think DJ and OL have been put in great positions, again, at times. Other times, its no doubt a lack of execution by the players (missed blocks, missed read by DJ, dropped passes, etc....)
Dabo was not pleased with the offense in the BC game...particularly the first half. We don't need that kind of start in Tally. Anyone think that those players/crowd won't be pumped up for this primetime matchup knows nothing. A win here for them soothes much of the recent disappointment. Of course, we get everyone's best shot. Good thing is we have alot of ceiling to go and this team can get alot better. Love that we can continue to rise and not peak too soon.

Must mean you have not watched FSU play and have never been on a team when a games means as much to FSU and their fans as our game will.

We have to play 60 minutes of football to win in my opinion. We can't come out hot and then go to sleep (Wake) and we can't take the first half off (GT and BC). We have to play similar to the way we played against NC State...we do that and I like our chances.

and which "cylinders" they're clicking on.
Lots of peaks and valleys this year during every game (sans NCState, Clemson's most complete game).
On the road at night could be tough, BUT the best way to combat all those factors is get up by 10+ early. FSU has ZERO to play for anymore..........they've gone from Conference "contenders" to losing all hope in a matter of 2 weeks and the NCstate game was lost in miraculously bad fashion.............if Clemson can get up early the team and fans will fold b/c this game essentially means nothing for them with regards to them winning the conference. They no longer own the tie breakers with the two other division contenders...........the only thing they have to play for is being the spoiler which has grown old to FSU during the last decade or so.

If you have not noticed they should have beat both Wake and NC State as they have the better overall team. Wide open style Offense with a great running QB along with a solid defense. If our offense sputters they will beat us at their place at night.

Well we all just saw us play like garbage for a half against a team thats very inferior to FSU. Not sure why anyone WOULDN'T be concerned about this game honestly, based on how erratic we've been. I agree that our best is much better than their best, but the question is will we get the first half Clemson team or the second Clemson half team we saw last week.
