Last night's win was big, and maybe even more amplified due to the losses that occurred in the later games. Pitt needed that win badly, but so did we in order to keep pace in the upper half of the ACC race.
There was a post on here earlier in the year about Chase Hunter’s shot selection late in the game. The funny thing about that post was that it questioned his shot selection, on a three pointer that he drained, and ultimately became a decisive basket in the Alabama game. We desperately need Chase’s leadership and scoring. He seems to be developing into the player we felt he had potential to be.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention Ian's heroics last night as well. Ian is also a player that folks have questioned in the past. In fact, the same individual made derogatory statements towards Ian after the season last year. Glad to see he has the confidence to take the three pointer and drill it in late game situations. His development has also been special and we are lucky to have been a part of it.
There is still business to be finished! I feel a Reverend Dodd sermon would be appropriate as we complete the regular season. I am certain that there was not another fan here that enjoyed that UNC win more than he.
Scheffellin will be in the all-american conversation next year, if he continues to improve like he did this year. He is a beast in the paint. He has benefited greatly from Hall as an example and as an outlet.
