Magnus gets slop faced drunk and gets arrested for urinating in the streets of Greenville. Spurrier gets wasted and appears on his own TV show, noticeably drunk. Now, Martin cursing his own players for the whole world to see. Your money has bought you a real fine cast of characters.

necessarily agree with what Martin did, but it isn't like he is the only coach to ever get fired up and cuss at players. Does anyone on here remember a guy named Bobby Knight? I've also heard stories about Danny Ford giving players some hell too. I know Ford had no problems cussing out the refs after the BS Maryland loss years ago. You can youtube it and read his lips.

I remember when basketball coaches (including Dean Smith) would smoke during the game.
But society has learned those things are harmful---and the risk of setting bad examples for impressionable young people is also harmful.
Sure Bobby Knight was renowned for his temper tantrums....and even though he won hundreds of games including NC's, look what happened to him. He was fired and his reputation took a huge hit.....when's the last time Indiana won a NC or even the B1G
Don't rationalize Martin's profane behavior by citing examples from the past as though they were OK....Even Martin recognized his actions were unacceptable and he'd already been cautioned about it before

Is urinating between cars and in the trees while tailgating also considered public? If so, we have lots of people that need to spend a night in jail.
