We're not celebrating our victories like we used to...

Oct 19, 2014, 12:56 AM

We usually wait till about Thurs/Fri before we started critiquing our coaching staff. Every staff makes goofs...look at little Nicky and his mile long FG that cost him. Even the best of them do it. So hate if you want, but a W is a W...and every team has to have a little bit of luck to make it. I don't agree with some of Morris's calls, but then again I know for a fact we'd be 0-36 if I were the OC. When we get all our pieces in place, we'll be beggin Morris for one more year...

Enjoy this season for what it is...I see it as a transitional year. We got a D coordinator that KNOWS a thing or two about Ds...so not worried about next year. Then, look who we get back on O and who we got coming in.

I know all this griping is cathartic, but what may help you even more is to look back at how far we've come. Don't get spoiled...remember the the old days and the gut wrenching loses to the WFs of the world...

The board just seems to be consumed with a few people who are doing it a new way

As long as there is a W beside our name after the game, I don't care if we win by 1 or by 50! Lets just keep winning!

Agree with that!***

I am grateful we have won the past 2 weeks...

Oct 19, 2014, 7:45 AM

But a win doesn't necessarily translate into a well played game. Yes, we played well enough to inch out wins the past two weeks, but BC and Louisville aren't top tier teams.

If we want to think of ourselves as an elite team and a contender, we gotta stop having the "it wasn't pretty but at least we won" attitude. The offense has been stagnant the past two weeks and that crap won't cut it for much longer.

Have you seen our injury list lately? There aren't many teams in this country that could have an injury list like ours (including our #1 quarterback, arguably our best wide receiver (peake), some much needed depth on the o line, our senior leader at safety, plus Dye, who probably would be our starting running back if he was healthy) and keep winning by 30 or 40 points.

i know we don't like fsu around here, but their wins this

year have been anything but "pretty", yet they are sitting at #2 in cfb, with a very legit shot at winning it all . we have faced two top 10 defenses in 2 weeks, with a back-up qb, back-up rb and a hurting o-line, and have 2 wins (and 4 in a row, overall). i'll take that all day long.

Louisville and BC are top notch on D and far from mediocre. Our offense is having problems. Cole is doing everything that his talent will allow. That kid has guts and is one heck of a leader, he just doesn't have all the skills. Our offensive line is patchwork at best... again. Watch Beasley (68) and Webster (77) for a few downs... its no wonder we can't run... but they are what we have right now.

In any case, this team has some serious fight in them.

Go TIGERS!!

old school football. Besides, I remember countless games where luck never favors us and we blow games like these. Go back just 7 years and you'll find games we lose because we missed PAT.

I am very happy we win these close games it shows you are a resilient program and you can choke others out.

Winning at BC is always good, even if the score was 7-6

Oct 19, 2014, 8:39 AM

I remember the Tommy years (both) well, and we would have lost that game under their leadership.

human nature to first wipe the brow after a near-miss, breathe a sigh of relief, then raise the dickens at the so-and-so that caused the near-miss.

Only problem is most people are never quite sure who caused the near-miss but feel the need to rant anyway...at someone, anyone, everyone. That, of course, means we're dealing with OPINIONS...mankind's ultimate, yet often flawed answers to the world's problems!
