FSU blew LSU out... we dominated FSU and lost in OT.

Guarantee you they keep them ranked.

Yeah, I doubt they'll drop from 13 to being out. Just like if the scenario was reverse. If we win out, we'll be up there.

While I hope you're right on both counts, I doubt we get the same consideration. Their is a prejudice concerning sec teams that is long standing. I just hope we are in that position where we find out what happens when we win out. I think a lot will depend on how we win, and by what margin. We are improving, and that seems obvious to me, but it doesn't seem to be catching the attention of pundits who vote on such things. JMO

In all seriousness, has an SEC team ever dropped 16 places after losing an away game to a conference opponent?

A better question is has anyone other than Clemson dropped 16 places? This is a serious question.

Probably not. Although I think meechigan did when they got beat at home by app st. They fell hard. I do agree with both of you, there is no doubt sec and b1g bias in the press and polls.

However, I think in our first game it was Duke. They got zero respect for last year. That was wrong. 2. We looked absolutely horrible on both offense and defense. We were the bad news bears. Should we have fallen that much, no.

It's probably going to take some time for us to rise unless we start passing the eye test better. Yesterday we looked like our old self in the first half. 2nd half, not so much.

Example, Dabo et al point to the play cade scramble and hit brown on 3rd and 12. Yet, we punted on the next set of downs.

so we don't get the former Natty Champ pass now. Dabo is so passe and lost in the new CFB world.

Now if he wore a black cowboy hat or had a mullet or had a cool name like "Curbie Brainiac"

then it'd be different.
