New defensive end coach Chris Rumph was animated again on Thursday. He told freshman A.J. Hoffler during a drill to “get your weak butt in the weight room and you will not have to play with two hands.” Rumph later told his defensive ends, “We are burning daylight. We got butt to kick.”
Rumph later kicked Jahiem Lawson out of a drill and when Hoffler jumped in to replace him, he threw Hoffler out and said, “If I kicked him out, I don’t want you.”

Love reading how hard Rumph coaches they talk the same way in Columbia (and everywhere) to their players and don’t get the results.

I fail to see how South Carolina factors into anything that happens at Clemson a practice.
Why would assume that anything they do in Columbia would produce a transitory result in Clemson?

Love it! Iron sharpens iron. Old school approach and holding players accountable is great to hear. The cream will rise to the top and he’ll help develop it for sure.

Let em transfer if they can’t take constructive criticism. Successful people don’t mind the feedback if it helps them continue to develop. Reflection is vital in every category of life if one wants to continue to grow. They gotta get em ready to play them Dawgs next season!
