I was walking to my vehicle this AM to go to work and heard this banging around under one of my sheds. I run over there to see what was going on and come face to face with a little buck wedged between a junky boat trailer and an old hot water heater.

Upon examination, I see his right front leg is absolutely mangled and he's unable to run. He doesn't look injured otherwise (shot, bleeding, etc). He had just found a sheltered spot to lie down and rest. Obvious he is absolutely exhausted and scared. In the pic he looks like he was about to charge at me but he didn't have the energy. Those antlers looked intimidating if so, I must say. But he was totally spent. I was able to pet his back hip as he nestled down after I took the pic.

I was late to work, didn't have time to go get my gun or do anything else. But it's obvious he needs to be put down, no way he can survive with that snapped leg. If he's still there when I get home this afternoon, I'll 9mm him.

With a possum in the fish gut bucket I forgot to empty on football Saturday. Walked by in the dark and was going to dump it. Shined the light on it and a bunch of hissing teef popped up. Nebber mind!

Put him out of his misery, would be a greater kindness than letting him get eaten alive by coyotes. Cut out those backstraps.
