As a few of you know my son had testicular cancer at the age of 23. The doctor was very slow to diagnose, and much needed treatment was delayed. Finally, we decided to send him to another doctor and thankfully he was diagnosed. Finding out a loved one has cancer is always a hard thing. Finding out it is one of your kids is worse. There were worries that it could have spread to lymph nodes because of this delay in knowing what was wrong. He lost one ######## and thankfully it did not spread. The chances of him being able to have children became very low.
Fast forward to now 3 1/2 years later. Still cancer free, but is anyone ever free of it or the worries?
This Saturday I will get to see my son get married. I also get to do the ceremony. On top of that blessing, my son and his fiancé decided they would try to get pregnant. Knowing it would probably be a long journey they started to try. I am happy to announce that they are expecting. No shotguns needed.
All of that to say, God is good and even when life seems desperate and broken, life and hope blooms again. This week I have been shocked by two people that I have worked with, one current and one from my past that have taken their own lives. People who never seemed depressed or upset. Don't give up hope and check on your loved ones and friends.
Go Tigers and blow away the Hurricanes!!

Congratulations on everything. I know you are excited as I am expecting my first granddaughter next month and am very excited. You have way more to be excited about. Congratulations again and it's great to hear good news in this time we are living in.

us not to hate, but I HATE cancer, in all its forms. It does not run in my family in general, but it has already taken an older brother, and my wife is a breast cancer survivor. Several of my church family are fighting various forms of it as we speak.
The part of the story about you becoming a future grandfather is the best part. "Getting pregnant", even without any diagnosed problems, is never a certainty. With your sons issues, it is indeed a very welcome surprise, I am sure. Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to your son, his soon to be family , and your soon to be growing family. Grandkids are wonderful, but my children are still the best things to ever happen to me.

Prayers and best wishes for the family. Problems are a constant part of life, fortunately, Gods mercy and grace will see us through. Really sorry to hear about the friends, though. My folks both have cancer. My mother got it almost 50 years ago and has had to deal with it reoccuring several times. My father got prostate cancer at around 53. Unfortunately, doctor did several needle biopsies which all were negative. Do NOT ever rely on needle biopsies, more often than not, they are false. He was on hormone suppression for 30 years, but has had to fall back to chemo, which is a losing battle for prostate cancer. Cancer isnt always a losing battle, but early detection is key. Lol okay I will bite. Premarital sex is wrong. As is trying to make somebody upset by a comment or a post. God views all sun as wrong. We are the ones who put sins in different categories. Sin is sin to God.
As far as blessing my grandchild, if she draws a single earthly breath, I will have been blessed. I used to be shallow minded in how I believed God was. He is perfect in his decisions and we are not
