Well i finally had to shut a Sooner up today...

I have always done my best to not talk to much to not smack talk other fans before games and always just hope 'my team' talks on the field. Now, I talk some smack to my west coast friends cause well, we're friends. But I spend a lot of time on social media, and always see some absolutely idiotic posts from Sooner fans. But tonight I finally saw one that I just had to reply with some stats of my own to shut the guy up. Thought you guys might like to read the transcript of the quick convo...
His comment:
"Hey Clemson fans, here are some season facts for ya...
Mayfield and Watson have almost identical completion percentage while Mayfield has 5 more touchdown passes and 6 fewer interceptions than Watson. Winner, Mayfield.
Perine has rushed for 1291 yards with 15 TD on 211 carries. With averages of, 6.1 yards per carry and 107.5 yards per game. While Gallman rushed for 1332 yards with 10 TD on 243 carries. With averages of 5.4 yards per carry and 102 yards per game. Winner, Perine.
Shepard has 1201 receiving yards on 79 catches with 11 TD. With averages of 15 yards per catch and 100 yards per game. Scott has 805 yards on 84 catches with 5 TD. With averages of 9.5 yards per catch and 61 yards per game. Winner, Shepard. All names mentioned are season leaders. Winner, Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has played and beat 5 ranked teams this season while Clemson has only 3 wins against ranked teams. Winner, Oklahoma."
My reply:
"Well since you care so much about stats, here are some for you. Of the 12 teams OU played this year the total defensive rank of their opponents were...#18, #45, #125, #54, #107, #100, #126, #127, #108, #57, #63, and #95.
While on the other hand in Clemson 13 games the total defensive ranks of their opponents is as follows... #12, #14, #37, #43, #1, #70, #20, #16, #99, #39, #96, #78. I would expect you can figure those numbers out for yourself. But incase you need help, OU played 6 teams this season ranked 100 or worse, compared to Clemson who played none. Also, there are 127 FBS football teams, Oklahoma played the 3 WORST defenses in college football this season. Since you like stats so much, you should enjoy those. Ill be back Thursday, good luck."
Me again:
"Oh and I forgot. Clemson defensive rank...#7. Ben Boulware and Shaq Lawson will be saying hello to Baker quite often."
Him:
"It is actually nice to see a Clemson fan coming back with some stats. Normally when I point out the FACT that Oklahoma IS the better team they just shut up. But Oklahoma will win though."
Sometimes you just have to give in and shut some people up. Now I just cant wait till the players do it on Thursday! Go Tigers!

And...we beat them with their starting QB's in the game...not back-ups like OKie did with 2 or 3 teams.

I only wanted to hurt his feelings enough to hush him up some LBB. Didn't want to completely diminish the guys hopes too early.?? Figured id leave that for Shaq

You could basically Google search any Tigerman1978's posts regarding stats, copy & paste them and make anyone a believer. I'm convinced this guy is the general counsel for Clemson university lol. He just always posts awesome $hit and no one can refute any of it with any reasonable argument.
So go over to that "okrahoma" thread from the other day, take a couple screenshots and you're friend will be decked out in Clemson gear by Thursday morning. Either that or buying tissues before kickoff at the local drug store wearing a Sooners dress.

On Thursday evening you will either be able to shut this person up, or not... Anything said today is just silly. All four teams have a chance to win the whole thing and if someone doesn't want to show respect, hopefully karma pays an early visit....
