That's the way it will end up. The question is how much money will the networks pay them? They could really be the developmental league for the SEC/B1G.

The B1G and SEC, along with ESPN and Fox, will decide how large a league they want. I think it will be 48-56. Those teams will break away from the NCAA for football and form "a league of their own." That league will crown a national champion. No one outside the league will be permitted to play in whatever post season tournament they decide on.

playing for "our" division Natty just about every year. We can only control what we can control. The unashamed greed that is going on right now from the BIG and SEC is going to come back and bite them in the butt. There are too many high level schools that are NOT aligned with them who will eventually rise up and smite them, when it gets down to the nitty gritty.

These schools you talk about not being aligned with the B1G and SEC, would all join either conference today if they could.

This gives more fuel to Clemson to get out of the ACC. I hope they are working on it behind closed doors.

Those guys that cover the PAC on YouTube is saying ESPN and Fox have been working on a model for that Super Conference. They're saying 64 teams and this is for 2026 if nothing else is hammered out. ESPN will get the bigger games of the playoff (probably the semi finals and the championship) while Fox will get a big chunk of some of the playoffs and CBS will get a smaller piece.

Why it will not matter as stated earlier...if it's all a out the money only then it will end up with some of the SEC, BIG minus several UT, OK, a few others thrown in...Clemson can never be a big dog money school...few big12, ACC, or PAC whatever will matter in the end...money only will decide if naysayers are right...Dabo can't fix this one either!
