Losing Davenport, Jacobson, and Miklesh really hurt. Those three 5th year grad transfers bought a lot of stability to the lineup. The lineup used to be dangerous from top to bottom. This 2024 team is good but not great. There’s enough time for some of the freshman to grow into legitimate threats by the end of the year. If they can get the situational hitting going and the pitching holds up they can be a tough out by the end of the year. I’m just not holding my breath. The girls are fun to watch but just aren’t a top 10 team anymore.

We are certainly shooting our ownselves in the foot more this year than at any

time since the program started. And, the self inflicted wounds are costing us games. Still a long way to go in the season, but some major issues to clean up, for sure. We have a lot of fighters on the team, I believe we get it figured out by seasons end.
