Butler > Brownell??

I see similarities in the men and women's basketball teams. But the main thing in they are both inconsistent Who is the answer long term? Butler, Brownell , or neither?

Well, Butler has only been at Clemson for 5 years and took over a program in serious decline. In the last 2 of 3 years (not counting COVID canceled post-season of 2020) she has taken us to an NCAAT and NIT bid and maybe another NIT bid again this year. Her trajectory is solid and she is advancing the program every year. I like what she's done and believe she will continue to make us more competitive over time.

Clemson women’s basketball has now experienced 2 winning seasons over the last 19 years. Both have come with Butler coaching. This program has been very bad for a long time. I’m glad to see some improvement over the last 5 years. Let’s see if she can sustain some success over the next 2-3 seasons. If a coach can’t show that they are going to have a good program in years 5-8 there is definitely no need to keep them post that point.
