Losing five years in a row, no.

Turning the ball over 6 times in the fifth game, yes.

and exactly how is this different from any of the others?***

And missed multiple FGs and had uncharactersitic penalties... Stuff happens.

Who job is it to teach players not to turn the ball over?

Nov 30, 2013, 10:37 PM

The Bus driver? The cook? Maybe the Dean of History? The Highway patrol Srgt? I'm jst wondering who's job it is?

YES but. AND IT IS A BIG BUT. Humphries IS TOO SMALL AND NOT "TOUGH" ENOUGH TO BE RETURNING PUNTS. Is someone telling me we don't have someone else on this team that isn't going to s...his pants as the defenders get on him?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No we blame coaches for

Nov 30, 2013, 10:49 PM

Allowing a qb to run all over us all game, for the 5th straight year. I mean how could you ever see that coming. We blame coaches for having an inferiority complex that causes you to run a dumb trick play when you are moving that ball with your offense. Only teams that hope to win do that crap not teams that expect to win. We blame coaches for putting a player that has had issues fielding punts in the past and in the game back into the game as a returner so he can fumble again. Despite the poor execution by our players, those are a few reasons why coaching lost this game.

Coaches must take some of the blame. You don't see Alabama, LSU, Oregon, etc turning the ball over so much in big games, do you? I remember being at one of Danny Ford's practices when the ball ended up on the ground a couple of times. He let everyone know, in language I can't repeat here, that the next time someone was going to be running, among other things, so yes, turnovers can be coached out somewhat.
