I've felt from the day that Dabo appointed Goodwin as our DC, that he should have done a legit coaching search for an experience DC, and honestly, I still feel that way BUT, I've always given credit when credit was due, and Goodwin surely deserves credit for his part in the win against ND. I give him a pat on the back for the way he called his defense yesterday bc those players was ready for whatever ND threw at them, and that was from a rookie coach doing his part in film study and had his players ready. Good job Wes Goodwin, now see if you can carry out that kind of performance through the remainder of the season. Go Tigers!!!

The second thing I want to say is that IMO, we have two very good RBs, and with the performance that Mafah had yesterday, he deserves a lot more playing time than what he has been getting. IMHO, both Shipley and Mafah deserve to be starters, and Dabo should see to it that they both get at least an equal share of the playing time bc they both are really good backs, and two RBs like those two could keep a fresh set of legs in the game 100% of the time....

Wes and the D are not the #1-7 issues that need to be addressed

Once those get addressed, then they can turn attention to the D side of the ball. Wes is getting better and better. He isn’t Coach V in terms of intensity during the games, but his wheels are clearly turning. Much like a serial killer. I wouldn’t want to be an opposing coach facing him.

If our O had been playing complimentary football and not relying on the D to make stops 70+% of the game, you would see a D much more like yesterdays.

He is patient works well with the qb and i didnt see a glaring missed block yesterday. Emotions aside, Hes the clear #1 imo. It is what it is.
