And they're talking about taking Clemson and FSU out the same division and I agreee

We're 2 power house teams in the same division we need to be separate. That way we'll see them in the ACC championship than in regular season

Why would we want that?

Playing early helps with the chances of 2 teams getting to the playoffs. A late loss like that kills it. Its the same reason that Miami and FSU used to play early.

Why does it matter?

We need to beat them regardless and I wouldn't want to risk not playing GT & FSU every year.

So you are going to flip teams around every few years

Jul 1, 2014, 6:41 PM [ in reply to Re: Watching College Football Live ]

when the balance of power changes?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Of course, that's the most logical way to do it...***

This isn't a matter of balancing power for the near future. It's for long term. Let's be honest, FSU and Clemson are the only two set up to be huge. Other teams may have success for a couple years and then go back to mediocre. I get the playoff thing and playing them early but I want to play them in the title game and beat them. An ACC title still means a lot to me.

That is the secret to the SEC recipe. They put all the weak teams in the SEC LEast. That way they end up with 2 BCS contenders. One who whoops up on the SEC LEast in the championship game (see Auburn vs USuCk 2010) and then the runner up in the SEC West who doesn't get that second loss. Keep FSU and Clemson in the same division and then wait for an upset in one of the other major conference championship games.

That would stink. Our regular sesaon is already watered

down enough with a weak bottom half of the league. Why make it worse by taking one of our few really good annual match-ups out of the mix.

Take care of business and the ACCCG doesn't matter.

If we only play FSU when we are in the title game, it will

kill our Florida recruiting. Having said that,I'm sure Swofford will be all for it.
