and I was pretty impressed. I was also surprised that Oklahoma didn't target his side more because he hasn't played much. Excited to see more of him!

He was more highly rated coming out of high school than Shaq. Bryant is a stud.

He is a monster. They did once or twice and realized he was just as good.

Not a strike against you, just the "pundits". The reason I picked Clemson was the fact that Okie had a young line not capable of matching up well with Clemson's DL.
Anyone who has ever 'footballed' should have seen that one coming.

They didn't have a young OL.

Well that's a brave thing to say after watching us run roughshod over them on Thursday.
Convenient.

Now those are some impressive stats for Clemson! Looks like if you calculate the cumulative rank they rank in at 14. Bama sets at 31(but had the weight of facing SEC D's), MSU was at #55, and again, Okie had the worst OL of the playoff grouping at #64.
Oh, and Bama took home some little trophy called the Joe Moore Award.

Problem is you are looking at it wrong. If you are going to go cumulative, you have to split run vs pass stats. The first 6 are Rushing Stats, the last 3 are pass blocking stats (check the site). That's where it's more telling.
Taking all in each, add, then average...
Run-blocking stats: Clemson #16 Alabama #24 Oklahoma #41 Michigan State #64
Pass Blocking stats: Clemson #10 Alabama #45 Oklahoma #111 Michigan State #36
So in essence, Michigan State had the worse run-blocking O-line in the playoffs, and the second best pass blocking O-line in the playoffs. Oklahoma had the 3rd best run-blocking O-line in the playoffs, and the worse pass blocking O-line in the playoffs.
Coincidentally, Clemson has the best Run-blocking and pass blocking O-line in the playoffs, regardless of an award.

In tandem, Clemson also has faced 1 team with very slightly better run blocking defense than Bama, Boston College. Bama will be the best D-line Clemson has faced against the pass block...App State (not that that one counts is the next best ranked, followed by BC and Fl State around an average of #28 for both).
Run Blocking stats: Boston College: #5 Alabama: #6
Pass Blocking stats: Alabama: #2 App State: #12 Boston College: #28 Fl State: #28
