Why is everyone acting surprised?

Oct 20, 2013, 12:51 PM

Anyone that has watched our games this year knew in the back of our minds that we just aren't the same without Hopkins and Ellington. Granted, I didn't think that we would have been beaten this bad, We all knew that we weren't a NC type team this year...We just don't have the weapons that we did last year.

I'm with you. we didnt replace what we lost last year. before season began, i figured we would lose 3 games.***

I was totally surprised last night

did not expect Tajh to struggle throwing the ball like he did last night, I felt that Tajh and Sammy had to have huge nights for CU to win, did not count on 14 points to be given away. Oline never seems to improve.

I expected the offense to take a slight step back, but I thought Tajh and our experienced O-line would be able to make up for the talent difference.

Didn't know we'd see something out of the Kyle Parker (2010 version) playbook in such a big game.

Sammy has replaced Nuk just fine as the #1 WR

Oct 20, 2013, 5:05 PM

no one has replaced Sammy as #2. Peake getting hurt has clearly affected us with little depth there. The freshman back who would have played, Dye, was hurt in the fall and is still not even practicing.

Agree. Just wasn't expecting a blow out at home***

Losing Dalton Freeman hurt a bunch too.

I'm not surprised at a loss. Our offense is not as good as last year, but our defenses is(was) better. However, I never expected a blowout at home on ESPN Game Day before a nationwide audience. Couldn't get a lot worse.

Was only surprised by the blowout

I didn't think we would get destroyed, but losing didn't surprise me whatsoever. We have always played FSU tough at home, dating back two decades or so. Even in the 90s when they were top 5 every year, beating ACC teams 70-0 every game, and we were in a major identity crisis, we still gave them some tough games in Death Valley.

But yeah, I knew we were not anywhere close to the level of Oregon or Alabama, that showed in the NC State and BC games. To be honest we should be ranked about number 20-25.

Dabo's comments at pre game news conference sounded

Oct 20, 2013, 7:13 PM

similar to comments before the West Virginia game. I swear I had a bad feeling about getting blown out in this game after I listened to his press conference last Tuesday.

We are not as good offensively this year, but we have improved on defense despite last nights score. I still think we can go 11-1, but I could also see us losing 2-3 more games if we aren't careful.
