Friday night, went to Shoeless, this mug club thing is working for them, has gotten me there way more than normal. The scale suggest it is catching up to me.
Saturday, was supposed to have this big productive day, Sharkgirl ended up not having to work and not much got done. We did make it BACK to Shoeless to get a recipe for the beer to brew Sunday.
Sunday, brewed beer and I tried to clean out some gutters. The scaffolding idea worked somewhat, but it wasn't quite level enough, with the lean being away from the house, so still didn't get quite high enough to see what I was doing. Getting down was a challenge, but no injuries occurred.

I will end up calling somebody to finish the gutters, I don't think I'm steady enough to get to the higher front corner.

Fri - practice fished with my brother for upcoming tournament. We caught 6 and thought we had something figgered out.
Sat - My nephew and I fished a tournament, fishing was hard, but we managed to weigh 3 fish for a 3rd place finish and some front pocket money. McJr and I celebrated with wing baskets and the girls went out.
Sun - MsJr was sick, stayed home with her. Later McJr and I played in the creek for a couple hrs. I worked for about an hour.

It's weird. If you start catching fish, you stop doing what you are doing and go try something else.
You want to save those fish / that area for the tournament.

Friday nothing special - last day of dog sitting for sick friend. Glad she is better and Buster is glad they are gone but it made me miss having a dog of my own. (Also confirmed that I don’t have the time or energy to properly care for a dog)
Saturday up early and headed up 85 to meet the rest of the BBQ tour team to go to Lexington NC for some course chopped and red slaw with bottomless hush puppies.
Lexington BBQ had the best slaw and hush puppies
BBQ Center had the best pork. That tray is from BBQ Center. Was hungry and didn’t get a pic of Lexington bbq tray
Sunday standard day with mom.

Friday: went to the bank and deposited some checks. Went out to dinner and got carried away popping bottles. Came home and made a movie.
Saturday: woke up, went to the golf course for breakfast, got drunk, played 27 holes of bad golf. Lost just about every bet I was involved in. Hit bombs off the tee though, so I was happy.
Sunday: same as Saturday, except I sharted on #4. Had to persevere through that until the turn where I could do some cleanup. Played 10, 11, and 12 before talking my playing partners into heading back to the bar because it was too cold and windy. Showed up late for a dinner date. Slept alone.
Average weekend, at best. Will do again soon.

He played well but they lost by a point in a feverish high energy game. Filets on grill at home, drank too much, missed church Sunday for 1st time in ‘24. LIV golf entertaining since Pebble Beach/Cali hit with apacolyptic storm. Had a New Year’s Day type soup made with Italian sausage, blackeyed peas, greens, onions, garlic. Stayed in a hotel in Greensboro. I would prefer never going back to Greensboro but the Zoo was cool. Need to go back when we have more time.

Friday: went out and shot some rounds on my AK. We grilled buffalo burgers and drank a red wine that's so snobby that it refuses to ackowledge CharlestonTiger15®'s existence. After that, made love with the wife on a rug made with the dashed hopes and dreams of many young kids.
Saturday: well, let's be honest, Brownell happens
Sunday: cleared more of the yard, watched Chelsea lose and honestly, just blanked out for a few hours.

Friday, took the day off, slept in, piddled about in the morning then got ready to head to Raleigh. Drive wasn't the best part of the trip, it was very Friday afternoonish out there on the roads. Got to Raleigh, checked in the hotel, downtown for birria tacos, then over to the Lincoln Theater for the 9th Annual American Aquarium Roadtriup to Raleigh show. It's actually a three-night stand, but we chose Friday because Joonyer is a big Gabe Lee fan and he was the opener. Next was Muscadine Bloodline with a great LOUD rocking set. American Aquarium closed it out with a two-hour set...excellent as usual. Props to the Lincoln, I was impressed with the bar setup and how fast they got drinks out and money in. A lot of venues could learn something from them.
Saturday, slept in after getting to bed so late. Up and off to Morrisville to hit Fount Kitchen & Coffee for breakfast. It's completely gluten-free, the Mrs. wanted that for breakfast because traveling can be a pain for someone who is celiac. The food was excellent to boot. Got back to Joonyer's house in York, and he took me for a spin in his new toy. He bought a used Porsche as a toy and it's a blast. Still had time to kill before I could pick up the dog from boarding at 5 so rode over to Walmart and scooped up a Hyper Tough brand cordless blower for $40 on clearance. I'll test it this week to see if I want to keep it, but I don't need very much in a blower so it should be OK. Back home for supper and to lay around in the big chair until bed.
Sunday, tried to sleep in but the animals would not allow it. Got up and drank coffee, read news, and took the pup for a hike over to the park where Mrs. was working. Back home for a few chores, a grocery run, another late afternoon hike with the pup, supper, and another night of posting up in the Big Chair doing nothing but flipping channels.
19/19 Covids because American Aquarium always makes for a great weekend. Wasn't even aware of Clemson basketball until long after it was over so no points were deducted on that account. I'll just sit back and wait to see if we can get into the NIT or not.

I spent a good chunk of Friday attacking the disorganization that has been my shop as I work on a pretty substantial build - 4 bistro tables, a 9-foot live edge bar, and a conference table. My Dust collector got clogged to all get out from a bunch of static electricity and epoxy shavings, so I had to deal with the fallout from that, as well as upgrading my CNC spindle (The hardest part of which is getting a new cable to connect it to the VFD Controller) - Bottom line I Got both problems addressed in the interim, and now I'm going to surface the bistro tables, then work on connecting the spindle to be controlled on/off by the CNC, making the whole process fully automated.
Spent most of Saturday out having beers with friends, and then Sunday morning, I built an organizer for my organizers. On the upside, I did get a pretty cool time lapse made this week: https://www.instagram.com/p/C20u46ztl3Y/
I think I might be able to make a table that can do that all the time. just working through some practicality on it.

managed to hold it together and everyone behaved
family came in for dawghater2nolongerababy's 1st birthday party. yes, including both of my parents who have been on the same property maybe 4 times since I graduated HS.
Fri - hit the standard dawghater2fam pizza night. sister and her husband drove up. brought some fresh GA skrimpies for the sattidee throwdown. hung out and dawghater2mom got to put dawghater2toddler to bed / bath which she enjoys
Sat - slight family implosion that my sister managed. picked up oysters, set up house, had a big time. idk, maybe 25-30 adults and 12-15 kids? everyone behaved. only a couple tears from kids falling off the bounce house.
only people that really ate oysters were my family (from south GA) and wife's family. all the "local" frands didn't really partake....weird. they housed some shrimp though, luckily my sister brought like 6 pounds and they were so friggin good. forgot how much I miss having fresh shrimp whenever I want em.
had to buy cases of beer, local liquor store didn't have any good kegs
1 yr old demolished some cake ha. it was funny and she put on a show. cupcakes for errbody else.
cleaned up, enjoyed a bourbon or two
Sun - hung around the house. got kids outside to the park. did a couple laps around the hood. sheet wrastled. had a fat steak (so fat I got some leftovers for lunch today), uncorked a decent cab.
first morning workout of the year this year. finally getting into a groove. January was absolutely shiddy and glad it's over.

Fri.: the family got back from a week long trip to Disney World. Our dog sitter mentioned that our dog had been acting "disoriented." However, she seemed fine upon pickup. I was trying to squeeze in a hunting trip and left late Friday to meet up with the guys. On the drive down, a dog jumped in front of my car. It came out of nowhere and was so close to my front bumper that I couldn't even start to brake. I felt awful and was in shock. I was in the middle of no where, it was pitch dark, there are no houses around where the dog may have come from, and there was no shoulder to safely park on that stretch of highway. Just an awful, awful occurrence. It also screwed up my front bumper which was newly installed about three weeks ago. F-
Sat.: Morning quail hunt was fun despite the birds not flying well. I then got a call from Wifeof that our dog is in pain, won't eat, and is incontinent. Wifeof was distraught and taking dog to vet. The vet couldn't tell what exactly was wrong. It may be liver failure. It may be cancer. They sent her home with pain meds and scheduled follow up for Monday. My Hunting trip was cut short and I came home. F.
Sun.: Our Dog seemed to not be in pain but was having trouble getting up from her bed or walking. Bonus, extra suck: the three year old wakes up with a high fever and it was cold and raining heavily. We were stuck inside with a sick kid, a dying dog, and a baby that is teething. Instead of the steaks I had planned to cook, we went with rotisserie chicken from Publix. F.
Our pup is at the vet now for further testing. We are hoping for good news but it seems extremely unlikely.

Friday...took daughter and fraund to see TL Hanna girls and boys varsity bb play. Girls rolled 70-something to 20-something. They were on fire from outside. One girl was 5/7 from 3 and another was 4/5 from 3. They're only losing 1 player next year. Daughter-of is hoping for a chance to make varsity as a freshman because the only real post player is freshman this year and my daughter played with her on middle-school team last year and they split time. Took girls to waffle house for late dinner.
Saturday...took daughter-of and fraund to gym, grocery run, watched Tiger BB let another win slip through their fingers, went to Gville for dinner later than normal and had to drive around a bit to find a reasonable wait. Ended up at PF Chang's and was decent.
Sunday...slept in, then headed to Oconee Station park with wife-of. Stopped at mellow mushroom in Clemson for lunch (no MauldinT). Wife-of's ankle had been bothering her and she stepped wrong getting out of car in parking lot, so after lunch, we headed back home and called off the hike. Made up a dang cook batch of French Onion soup for dinner and hit the sack early.

Worked at mom-of's house for 10 hours Saturday, came home whipped. Went to bed around 11:30..woke up around 8--NOPE. Woke up groggy, a little feverish, not wonderful. Went back to sleep until 2. NOPE. Stayed in bed until 5. Felt turrible. Got up, took a shower, ate some soup, watched TV for a few hours...went back to bed.
I dunno what I got/had, but I want it gone. Feel a little better today, but not awesome.
So far, not drinking is not making me feel great.
