Va Tech - Duke game

Not sure who is announcing but one of them must want to get fired. Just spent 3 minutes railing the refs because they were running over to Duke coach at time outs like they were at his beck and call. Duke coach then spent the entire timeout whinning about a call.

I thought the announcer must not have watched much college ball the last few decades.
My take on that game is that Buzz just got my vote for coach of the year for that "Quit Cussing" announcement. (I'm glad Brad hasn't had to address our kids publicly about their manners, but I gotta admire Buzz for dealing with his crowd.)

I watch plenty. Bottom line K gets treated differently. The announcer was pointing out that it happens all the time. Sorry, but the guy whines about everything. Its no accident his players over the years have had that rep.

Dumb comments imo. Coach K has every right to a true his point. The ball was still on the way up imo. Just because it hits the backboard does not mean it is goaltending. Heck of a game tho. Nice W for the Hokies.

Once the ball touches the backboard it's considered on a downward flight.

Section 17 article 3:
"c. When the ball contacts the backboard and any part of the ball is above the
rim during a field goal attempt, it is considered to be on its downward flight.
In such a case, it is goaltending when the ball is touched by a player as
long as it has a possibility of entering the basket."

I have seen him be happy plenty of times. A coach should get upset if they feel a call didn't go their way. It is a sport and emotions run high in competitive people. I would want to see my coach show emotion I think it would make me play harder.

This helps Clemson a lot though, at least through ESPN's eyes. ESPN is already blinded by Duke's "blue-blooded" talent, so the Hokies beating Virginia AND Duke in the same month will certainly make our loss better, especially on the road.

In the first half, he was saying that Bagley is a selfish player and that Duke played better when he was out of the lineup. I agree with him.
