Using the 2 loss rule

1

Oct 10, 2023, 11:01 AM

Here's how many teams each conference has that still meets this historical CFP criteria:

AAC - 2
ACC - 5
B12 - 5
B10 - 6
CUSA - 2
IND - 0
MAC - 3
MW - 4
PAC - 7
SEC - 6
SB - 4

TOTAL 44

I know, I know ... only Power 5 conferences have a shot, but the little guys can dream, can't they ?

The real answer is the chance of a team getting to the Playoffs with 2 losses is about equal to winning the Powerball.

Those are teams WITHOUT 2 losses. Try to keep up.

Until Bama loses twice. Then all of a sudden there's a good chance.

not ready for a playoff. I fully expect it next year though.

We have a long season still ahead. We won't be odds favored in most of the games left.
