Uniforms Last Night

Both teams looked classy in their long-time, traditional uniforms. No gaudy purple for us or something wild for Auburn.
Classy teams stay with a classic look.

our uniforms are one of the best and when you see them you know it's college football. I can't post about unins without saying I hate the purple jerseys and or pants. Just love orange and white!

of combinations to work with. If they want to get creative go all orange or white jerseys with orange pants, otherwise stick with orange/white and white/white.
If they want to get totally creative with special ONE GAME Nike Pro Combat uni's I'm all for it. That is totally different and doesn't constitute a uniform change, yet people complain about the idea as if it does.

I bet we see purple in some way this year. Be it purple jerseys or pants, I have a feeling the purple will be worn this year.
The players love it, and personally, I do too.
I don't think there is anything whatsoever gaudy about White Jerseys and Purple Pants, or Purple Jerseys with White Pants.

Agreed. I don't love the purple, but I sure don't hate it. I'd rather us not be like Oregon or Maryland (no matter how cool their jerseys get). It's just not us. I like what Dabo is doing with the orange/whit, but I have to admit. The Clemson/GT game in 2006 when CGD was there and we came out in all purple...I was excited..

I would like to see us replace the purple with black, use white helmets with an orange stripe (only possibly with thinner black outline) with paw decals to denote accomplishments, and black jersey numbers. Orange home jerseys and white away.
That would allow us to incorporate the military colors as well as colors of a tiger. (makes more sense to me than purple) It would also allow the players/fans to wear the lightest color possible (white) during the hotter months as well as giving Clemson a more classic look. (I think Clemson's military history and tradition is one of the best ways to market Clemson)
I also think the stripe is a better way to market the University than the paw, because of the combination of the military history & mascot. (it ties the 2 together more than the paw IMO) Clemson is also the only University that runs down a hill to start the game, so the stripe would help to reinforce Clemson's traditions.
If we are basing our color scheme around our mascot, then do so. I've never seen a purple tiger in my life, sorry. I'm not sure what Barker was doing back in the 60's-70's but I've never seen a purple tiger.

Orange on White is my absolute favorite uniform combo, followed closely by All White.
Nothing, IMO, beats either look.
Having said that, I think the Purple on White is a very sharp looking combo (either purple pants / white jerseys or purple jerseys / white pants).
I'm not crazy about all Purple, but I don't hate it. For big games, I like all Orange better.

Most CLemson fans on these forums are against any REAL
classic uniforms; If its something they can't relate to,
they're against it.
