that Clemson recruited against UCLA. And nobody said anything about a new stadium at Clemson. But if you think that Clemson's stadium can compete with UNC, Virginia, SC and others in the area, then you're sadly mistaken.

help but it all boils down to those two. Blame it on bats, balls, field size, whatever, but until you recognize the real problem you are just peeing in thle wind.

did you look at their lockerooms and hitting facilities?

i'd say their hitting facility is a good bit better than ours, i did not find any photos of the baseball lockeroom/players lounge etc. just being a bit of a devils advocate.
i know you are just being a smarta$$ towards baseball fan, but there is at least some merrrit to the whole facilities thing. we mocked coach tommy bowden for years as he harped on the facilities thing, yet in just a few years we are leaps and bounds of where we were a decade or even five years ago.
btf is top notch for fans and media, but clemson's ammentities for their players is sorely lacking. unc, nc state, uva, and gt have all gone through some major facility upgrades over the past decade or so. believe me, we are not competing on a level playing field whenn it comes to facilities. yep, and it is not the only excuse that our facilities are the main reason we have been lapped in baseball, our lockerooms have not been touched since leggett has been there.
i know it is weak to use facilities as the only excuse for our recent troubles and other acc teams passing us, but you bet it factors in there.
baseball fan made a nice point that we are not recruiting agaisnt ucla, but i do see your point. there is just a lot more to it than you (or i) know about. facilities will be upgraded soon, i just hope it is not too late.

that others schools, especially SC, UNC, and UVa have "passed" Clemson in the last few years and all of them have made major investments in their facilities. Anyone that doesn't think facilities matter needs to look at what happened after Clemson built the West Endzone project for football. It isn't a coincidence that success on the field followed the facility upgrades.

It's not the stadium. They don't have enough seniors!

Only 1 senior on the roster. Can't you see this is a rebuilding year? Wait until next year and they might have a chance.

UCLA also smokes us in number of quality players through the program. They should have had a title and more Omaha trips by now. It is a testament to our coaching and the program we have that we can have 12 Omaha trips in a program whose alumni has about 12,300 games in the MLB compared to over 31,000 for UCLA.

one of the most storied athletic programs in history. And it's in Los Angeles; John Savage can throw a rock over the outfield fence and hit 4 or 5 top prospects. They are also the ultimate "small ball" team, in case no one noticed.
