When was the last time we finished in the top 40 (!) in basketball? How many times has Brad ever finished in the top 40? I’ll tell you - TWICE.
Meanwhile we finished 13th, 14th, and somewhere below 20 in the last 3 “down” seasons.

Probably not. Football has put money in tbe bank. Basketball is more like tbe paycheck advance places. Never put anything in the bank and always playing catch-up. Could care less is Clemson brought back swimming and let Littlejohn be the indoor aquatics center!! Brownell could stay and be the rubber duckie mascot!!!!

Based on when you graduated, I’ve been associated with Clemson athletics for at least two decades longer than you. I grew up in Death Valley, Littlejohn Coliseum, and at all the other sports venues. I’ve seen the good and bad of Clemson basketball through all the years. I’ve watched the players play that you only know about because your daddy told you about them.
Just as I said in my post, just when you think the basketball team is going to be different; they return to status quo. Don’t get upset at me for the truth and direct your anger at me!
I have earned the right to be disappointed. I came through during the times when not everyone wins a prize.
This was a disappointing loss. . .period

easleytiger ... I attended Clemson, among other reasons, for ACC college basketball. Made every Clemson game from 1979-1984. I've attended 3 final fours, dozens of regional NCAA tournaments, ACC tourneys, regularly attended Clemson games through Ellis, Barnes, Purnell and first three years of Brownell era. I understand quality basketball.
Stopped watching Clemson basketball three years into Brownell era. It's a broken record. Replay, and the same scratches are amplified. Brownell understands coaching. He does not understand motivation and pressure basketball. The more pressure, the more Brownell players will tighten up, miss free throws, make careless mistakes and shrink away. Every year. See Morehead State and the prior 13 years. If that makes me fair weather, I'm real good with that. There's so much football, softball, and men & women's soccer and golf to follow. Go Tigers!

look at my post history. doesnt take long.
BUT i wont do it after we play a top ten team and lose. we fought hard today. we drew up winning plays. we just didnt put the ball in the basket. it wasnt a 'flop'. it wasnt a 'choke job'. we simply got outplayed by a capable team. Not time to panic or play the blame game. tip your cap, move on and win the next 3.
