Today reminded me of the 2012 Orange Bowl. The score was much different, but glaring issues were clear. There is no doubt that changes need to be made. Streeter got his shot, and it hasn't panned out. And based on his postgame presser, Streeter will only double down on what has been done all year.
DJ is a great kid, and I respect him, but he doesn't have that killer instinct that DW and TL had. When they stepped on the field, you had confidence that they could find a way to make something happen. DJ doesn't have the same swagger. It doesn't make him a bad guy- it's just the truth.
I'm not really worried about Cade transferring. Based on everything I have seen and heard from him, he loves Clemson and is willing to prepare until his number is called. But it's his time. Whether he's ready or not, it's time for him to get the nod. If we lose the ACCCG because of Cade, it's a learning experience. If we lose the ACCCG because of DJ, it's a failure to learn.
