I’ve been a sports fan since high school (1967), For 57 years one thing is common - the endless cycle of ups and downs / wins and loses that is common to all sports in all revenues. If you’re on top of the world today get ready to get your bubble busted. Alabama was on top of the football world, then they were not. They may rise again only to slip back into mediocrity.
It’s a cycle nobody can break. The one exception is - it’s easy to stay on the bottom of the pile. Maybe a good coach can change that for a while then he’s gone. I end this rant with a misapplied statement from the Bible, “the end of those things is death.”
