I've chronicled his many brain surgeries on here over the years, plus that really bad car wreck a few years back... regardless, the old man keeps trucking on.
He had been battling a "sore throat" for a few months... Finally went to see and ENT doc, who found a small mass near his vocal cords (or is it chords... it's probably cords). Usually this wouldn't be super alarming, but given his history of battling brain cancer for the past 35 years, it has us all pretty nervous.
They're taking him back this morning to remove it and get it checked.
T's and P's that it is just a corn kernel or something benign. T's and P's also that if it turns out to be something significant, he faces it down like has every other obstacle in his live and powers through.

As his oldest son, neighbor, and medical power of attorney, I found out about it from the prayer list at church.
He didn't want to worry us, or make a fuss, but my step mom had him added to the prayer list. Typical. Gotta love it!

He's done with the procedure and recovering. I think the whole procedure took like 15 minutes.
We should know in a week or so what the "mass" is/was... I'll let yall know. Doctor said its likely a run-of-the-mill cyst, even given his history.
